Friday Night Fun

Free Fun on Fridays! Fun Friday Events

Every Friday evening from the week after Labor Day to the Friday before Memorial Day, the Library features a fun and free event for families from 6:30pm to 8:00pm.  Bring the whole family down for "Friday Night Fun" and enjoy games, movies, crafts, music and exhibits. Programs are appropriate for all ages and generations. This is a great way to connect with relatives, friends and neighbors in a fun and healthy environment.

May 2018 Friday Night Fun Events

  • May 18: Mt. Saint Helens - Volcanoes - May 18 is the anniversary of the 1980 eruption of Mount Saint Helens in Washington. We'll learn a bit about that eruption and what causes volcanic explosions. Weather permitting, there may be a small eruption in the Community Room garden.
  • May 25: Operation Gratitude - Learn to build a survival bracelet constructed of parachute cord (paracord).  Why is it a survival bracelet? The strands of your paracord can be used to mend, tie down, lace up, fish, trap, and perform first aid as well as many other things.  A survival bracelet is used by EMTs and active service-members, as well as campers, hikers, and adventurers.  Learn to make a bracelet, then make a bracelet or two for an active service-member deployed overseas.  Write a letter to show our troops you care!
