Summer Reading 

Universe of Stories Opens in new window

Summer Reading is designed to encourage the entertaining pastime of reading while adding fun activities and challenges to your days. This summer, the theme is "A Universe of Stories!" and we have 4 programs, each appropriate for a particular age group. Earn points for participating and get badges and prizes as you go. When we wrap up the program,"spend" your points until July 26 at 10 pm on prize raffles that take place on July 29.

Eagle Has Landed

Celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Moon Landing with us! There will be fun space activities, crafts and snacks. Put yourself on the moon by taking a picture with a green screen and enjoy footage of the Apollo 11 Moon Landing. Summer Reading participants that completed our Moon Walk Challenge can celebrate with a special lunar treat!         

Junior Explorers- Musical Universe

  • Kids will learn about Kurdish folk music and Brazilian Embolada in a class that encourages them to move and make music of their own.

  • Have you ever wanted to learn more about brain science?
  •  Join us for a program about the brain and the science behind addiction. 
  •  During the program, learn to better control our own brains through mindfulness and stress management techniques and build your own models of neurons!

  • Celebrate the end of summer with an Ice Cream Social sponsored by Achieve Montana.  
  • Along with yummy ice cream, enjoy a fun craft and photo ops.


Billings Symphony - Stillwater String Quartet

  • Join Billings Symphony’s own Stillwater String Quartet as they entertain us with some of the greatest hits of Disney.
