COVID-19 and Library Services - FAQs

Due to precautions to impede the spread of COVID19, Billings Public Library services are closed at this time. The library is closed to the public but is being utilized as a free childcare center for the school age children of first responders and "essential workers" from the Billings Clinic, St. Vincent Healthcare, and RiverStone Health. This free childcare service is staffed by volunteers from Billings Clinic staff and is currently only available for essential workers from Billings Clinic, St Vincent Healthcare, RiverStone Health and local first responders.

What does that mean for:

Due Dates:  All due dates for library materials have been extended until May 1.

Returns:  Please do not return materials to the Main library downtown or the Community Library at City College.

Holds:  Holds cannot be picked up while library services are closed. However, you will not lose your place on the hold list. All holds will remain just as they are until library services start up again.
