  1. Family Reading Program

    January 22, 2019, 10:00 AM - February 25, 2019, 9:00 PM

    Billings Public Library’s 22nd annual Family Reading Program will begin January 22nd. Family Reading is designed to encourage families to develop the habit of reading aloud together. Studies have shown that children who are read aloud to have improved language skills and are more successful in school. During the program families will read together for 20 minutes a day for 20 days. Families completing the program will receive a book and be entered into a drawing for a special grand prize.   12. Lego Library Dedication and 10 years of Books and Babies

    Come to the unveiling of the LEGO replica of Billings Public Library. Kids, we will also have a large racetrack and supplies to create and race your own LEGO car. Thank you to Bricks and MiniFigs for creating the Library in LEGOS and supplying the track and accessories. In January 2009 Billings Public Library began offering a Books and Babies program for ages 0-2 years.! We are inviting all current and past “babies” and their parents and/or care givers to enjoy cookies. We are excited to see many of our “grown-up babies” who are now in 4th & 5th grade!

    The Turning Page reads books from the Library's book club kit collection, and meets on the fourth Wednesday of each month (except for a couple of hiatus months during the holidays and summer).
