  1. Family Reading Program

    January 22, 2019, 10:00 AM - February 25, 2019, 9:00 PM

    Billings Public Library’s 22nd annual Family Reading Program will begin January 22nd. Family Reading is designed to encourage families to develop the habit of reading aloud together. Studies have shown that children who are read aloud to have improved language skills and are more successful in school. During the program families will read together for 20 minutes a day for 20 days. Families completing the program will receive a book and be entered into a drawing for a special grand prize.     The Turning Page reads books from the Library's book club kit collection, and meets on the fourth Wednesday of each month (except for a couple of hiatus months during the holidays and summer). Each kit contains 10 copies of the book, and are available on a first come, first served basis BUT readers are always welcome to obtain their own copy and join the fun!

  4. Tai Chi for Everyone presented by the Taoist Tai Chi Society of Billings

    In the Taoist tradition, a person's health depends on the harmony of body, mind, and spirit. The Taoist Tai Chi arts exercise the entire physiology, including the tendons, joints, connective tissue and the internal organs.
