    Research your family history! The Yellowstone Genealogical Society will demonstrate how to use Ancestry Library. Ancestry Library is freely available to all who are in the library. It is the world’s largest online family history resource; it provides instant access to hundreds of years of history in billions of historical documents and millions of historical photos from all over the world. Record collections span the 1500s–2000s.

  2. Tai Chi for Everyone presented by the Taoist Tai Chi Society of Billings

    In the Taoist tradition, a person's health depends on the harmony of body, mind, and spirit. The Taoist Tai Chi arts exercise the entire physiology, including the tendons, joints, connective tissue and the internal organs. Attendees should wear comfortable clothing that allows movement, including grip-less, flat-soled shoes, and should be prepared to sign a waiver.

  5. Black History Month Film Series: GOOD HAIR

    In conjunction with the Black Heritage Foundation of Yellowstone County, BPL sponsors a series of films reflecting African-American history and culture. GOOD HAIR is a documentary film about the importance of hair in African-American culture. Prompted by a question from his young daughter, comic Chris Rock interviews celebrities such as Ice-T and Raven Symone, and visits hair salons, stylist competitions and even an Indian temple to learn about hair culture.   9. Knitting Circle and Fiber Arts Group

  13. Black History Month Film Series: FENCES

    In conjunction with the Black Heritage Foundation of Yellowstone County, BPL sponsors a series of films reflecting African-American history and culture. FENCES is a period drama film, based on August Wilson's Pulitzer Prize-winning play. Troy Maxson makes his living as a sanitation worker in 1950s Pittsburgh, but once dreamed of becoming a professional baseball player. Bitter over his missed opportunity, Troy creates further tension in his family when he squashes his son's chance to meet a college football recruiter. (2016 - PG-13)
