Family Reading is designed to encourage families to develop the habit of reading aloud together. Studies have shown that children who are read aloud to have improved language skills and are more successful in school. During the program families will read together for 20 minutes a day for 20 days. Families registering for the program will receive a book bundle to start the reading journey. Families completing the program will receive coupons to local businesses as supplies last and will be entered into a drawing for a special grand prize. January’s kit is Origami and will be available via curbside starting January 4th. The kits will include all the supplies needed to for one child to make several origami projects and are intended for children ages 6-12. Kits are available on a first come, first serve basis.
