  1. Letters to a Young Poet #3

    June 21, 2021, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

    Become pen pals with Montana Poet Laureate, Melissa Kwasny. A new poem and prompt will be posted on the Billings Public Library teen webpage every Monday during Summer Reading (June 7 – July 12). Write your own poem as a response and mail it (real mail, not email!) to Melissa. Supplies including stationary, envelopes, and stamps are available from the library. There is no specific day that you have to write your letters.

  3. Outdoor Book Club for Teens

    June 22, 2021, 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM @ Pioneer Park

    Join us this summer for 3 sessions of Picnic in the Park! We will discuss a different book at each meeting. The first book we will be reading is "Elatsoe" by Darcie Little Badger, available to pick up from the library starting June 1. The book is yours to keep! We will meet on Tuesday, June 22 at 11am-12pm at Pioneer Park for a group discussion, snacks, and fresh air.

    Grow your own microgreens! An outdoor workshop for TEENS at Billings Public Library with guest presenter, Emilie Burditt. Learn about microgreens, how to start growing them, and leave with your own starter kit. The workshop will take place in person, socially distanced, on the patio outside of the Library Community Room. Attend to receive the secret code that you can enter for Summer Reading points!

    Billings Public Library and The Babcock present a FREE showing of "How to Train Your Dragon" on June 30th at 6:00 PM. Watch this animated favorite as part of the Tails & Tales Teen Summer Reading Program! TEENS can register ahead of time to receive free books and the chance to win more prizes! Open to the public. **Please note that the Billings Public Library newsletter has a typo for the start time of the movie. The movie will start at 6pm, not 6:30pm.
