  1. Tai Chi for Everyone presented by the Taoist Tai Chi Society of Billings

    In the Taoist tradition, a person's health depends on the harmony of body, mind, and spirit. The Taoist Tai Chi arts exercise the entire physiology, including the tendons, joints, connective tissue and the internal organs. Attendees should wear comfortable clothing that allows movement, including grip-less, flat-soled shoes, and should be prepared to sign a waiver.

  2. Solar Dyeing Workshop with The Fellowship of the Fiber

    The library's fiber arts group is harnessing the power of the sun to change natural yarn fibers into gorgeous new colors for knitting or crocheting your next project! All supplies are provided; attendees can bring their own natural fibers to dye but they must be pre-washed and pre-treated with a vinegar/water solution. This program is part of the Adult Summer Reading Program. Signup begins June 4, space is limited!

  3. Local Government Seminar - Session 1

    The League of Women Voters of Billings and BPL present a series of evening courses on how city government works and how residents can get more involved. Session 1 is on July 11 at 5:30 and is entitled: Getting Involved in Local Government - How do we pay for everything and who decides? Featured presenters are:

    -- Andy Zoeller – City of Billings Finance Director will speak on how the city budget works, including TIF funding.

    -- Randy Hafer - Founder and President of High Plains Architecture, will talk about Tax Increment Funding (TIF) and how it works for a business owner.

    -- Pam Ellis – will discuss One Big Sky funding.

    Sessions are July 11, 17 and 24 from 5:30-7:30 pm in the Library Community Room. Come to one session or attend them all! Details and signup at www.lwvbillings.org.

    The TECH Lab is the library's digital learning lab that's just for teens.
